I’ve picked up a bad habit of not venturing out of East London on weekends when I have no plans. As much as I like it over here, there is no equivalent to a walk around West London – especially when it’s sunny. So to get out of my same old routine, Will and I made the most of the bank holiday Monday, and explored Holland Park for the first time.
Despite being considerably smaller than the giant neighbouring Hyde Park, there are lot’s of charming aspects to Holland Park which make it worth a visit. It feels somewhat more peaceful, with woodland walks and well maintained gardens, including the tranquil Kyoto Garden. You should also see a roaming peacock at some point, or at least hear one.
