It’s December. Which means Christmas prep is in full swing. My Christmas tree is up, and my favourite cinnamon and mandarin candles are making the flat smell extra festive. I still haven’t got round to replacing one of my living room lightbulbs, which incidentally creates a moody holiday ambience.
To kick off the month, I did a winter garland workshop with Boom Blooms – an independent florist in South East London run by sister duo Eram Khan and Aelia Youngs. The workshop lasts about three hours and covers everything you need to know about creating garlands (aka wreaths).
After a welcome glass of prosecco, I got busy arranging my wintery blooms. Wether you’re confident or want a little extra guidance, Eram was always on hand with demonstrations and helpful suggestions. Everything you need is provided, but I would recommend not wearing light coloured clothing!
